Celia Kimbrough has been photographing people since 1993, the last 4 1/2 professionally. CK Photography became a full time business the summer of 2003, and Celia has been on the run ever since. You may have seen her booth at the Polk County Fair or Salem Bridal Fair which were extremely successful. Who knows where she might be spotted next?!
Celia specializes in outdoor settings using the clients own property or the parks and fields of the picturesque Polk and Marion county area. She prefers natural light. Its interaction with her subjects helps her determine how best to tell their stories. She is successful with a variety of subjects: children, families, H.S. seniors, weddings, quinceaneras, pets, models and even political campaign photography. Every shoot is uniquely designed to best fit the person being photographed whether at the beach, with a horse, hot rod, or in the snow. |
Since Black and White photography has definitely raged back into style, Celia has the great pleasure to use her natural ability to create outstanding black and white portraits. As can be seen from her work, you’ll be thrilled at the finished art.
Celia appreciates the chance her career gives her to become friends with all her clients. Because of her fun-loving nature, Celia puts people at ease and from there goes on to create beautiful, personalized portraits.
“I have two goals. First, it is vital to build a relationship of trust with the people I’m photographing and put them at ease. If they’re not smiley individuals, that’s OK. I’m not going to force it. If a small child becomes engrossed with his surroundings, that’s wonderful! I’ll catch that. I’ve had couples and families that laughed and cracked jokes the entire session. That’s the essence of who they are and what I want to capture.
