We discussed the committee’s recommendations which included: John Lusk as president, Steve Nate as vice president, Shirley Rex as secretary and Eldon Kearl as treasurer. Keven had been in contact with John, who was out of town. He had respectfully declined being considered for president because his work would prevent him from doing justice to the office. Keven turned the time over to Eldon.
Eldon told about a Motorola GM 300 radio with a new microphone which he got at a ham fest for only $20.00 dollars. Keven mentioned that he had software for programming the GM 300 and Motorola GM 120.
Eldon informed us about the Arizona Repeater Association and the Canyon Rim inner tie. He also told us about the Bear Lake Health Foundation and Health Care Coalition. There is a mobile radio installed in the Swanson Building. Craig Thomas would like local Hams to be move involved with the Health Care Coalition. Portnuf, Bear Lake Memorial, and the clinic at Garden City are all on the same system.
We discussed plans for the upcoming Christmas party. It was suggested we have the party at the Montpelier Fire Station and bring pot luck.
Keven talked about the SET Hack Attack time change . He gave us the frequencies to use and suggested we use the Paris Stake frequency for the local net before the SET was to begin.
